Was born on July, 3rd, 1974. Was involved in music since his childhood under direction of the father, the pianist and teacher Alexander Vasilevich Pashkov. In 14 years has been accepted in Musical College of the Conservatory, City of Leningrad (nowadays St. Petersburg) as a student of a piano & composition`s departments.
In 1992 won the "Young talents" award at the first piano competition of name Ippolitov-Ivanov in Moscow. Within the all years of studying in College he was trained under a creative management of Professor Vladimir Nielsen to whom, in turn, has finished the Conservatory in 1998.
In 1995 took part in the piano competition founded by the Society of Friends of music "GARTOW STIFTUNG, Hamburg" in St. where he took 2nd place (the First prize was not awarded), and special prize for the Chopin Studies performance. Between 1996-98 he was engaged for some concert tours like in Switzerland (Bern, Geneva, Montreux, Lugano etc.), Belgium (Bruxelles, Namur, Antwerpen, Dinant etc.), France (Paris, Grenoble, Bordeaux etc.), Luxembourg, Portugal (Lisbon, Portimao, Lagoa etc.), Spain (Madrid, Kadiz, Bilbao etc.), Sweden (Eskilstuna, Orebro, Ludvika, etc.), Finland (Helsinki, Oulu, Tampere, Imatra etc), and Yugoslavia.
In 2000 he has finished postgraduate study and Assistant-training in the Petrozavodsk State conservatory under direction of the professor of V.S.Portnoy. The theme of his final project was: "The philosophical concept of space and time in music. Genesis".
From now he was on actively acted in solo recitals and also, performances with orchestras under leading of A.Borisov ("Mozarteum"), A.Titov (The Youth Orchestra of Kirov-ballet), Erick Nordstrom (Grangesbergs Orchestra, Sweden), P.Smelkov (Baltic Orchestra), G.Sjokvist (Eskilstuna, Sweden), and V.Gergiev (Kirov - Opera), Alun Francis (Orquesta Filarmonica Ciudad de Mexico) among the others.
Alexander Pashkov has been invited for the recording of the first symphony of A.Shnitke as the jazz pianist with an orchestra of Mariinsky Theatre leading by Maestro Valery Gergiev.
He is also known as a composer and arranger, - his original music and arrangements were performed all over the world by European Tango Orchestra, Ensemble Remolino, Julliard Brass quintet, Alicia Rappaport, Ensemble Maestro, Fred Mills, Marija Vidovic and Brodsky Quartet.
Since 2005 he lives and works in Mexico, in the city of Morelia at the oldest conservatory on American continent, the Conservatory de Las Rosas. From that time he intensively acts with leading conductors of Mexico, such as Roman Revueltas, Jose Guadalupe Flores, Miguel Salmon del Real, Mario Rodriguez Taboada, Jose Maldonado, Ramon Shade, Juan Trigos, etc. Also, he constantly works as pianist with musicians like Timothy Fain (violin), Alex Freund (trumpet), Erika Dobosiewich (violin), Jose Franch Ballister (clarinet) , Matteo Cesari (flute)etc.
He participated in the largest festivals of piano music, such as "Blanco-Negro" in Mexico City, International music festival "Bernal Jimenez" in Morelia (With Brodsky Quartet),"Semana del piano" and International "Sala Beethoven festival" in Monterrey, "Cervantino" festival in Guanajuato, Festival Alfonso Ortiz Tirado in Alamos etc. He was also invited for making complete records of the Schubert`s duo (violin&piano) with Erika Dobosiewich by the CD company "Quindecim" in august 2008. In June 2012 he gave several concerts collaborating with Alejandra Garcia Sandoval (soprano) in the most prestigious concert halls in Europe.
On November 2013 he was making a world premiere of a several piano etudes of Phillip Glass in collaboration with the composer himself on Morelia Fest. Since October 2016 he collaborates with internationally acclaimed singer Francisco Araiza on "Catedra Francisco Araiza",National Conservatoire , Mexico, as a principal "lieder&opera" coach where also he is offering courses and lessons of the piano accompaniment and couching.
On a regular basis he gives the lectures on history, theories and philosophies of pianism in the countries of the Europe. The author of works about the performing analysis about F.Chopin Etudes, a cycle of essays, devoted to ethics of performance and ways of learning of technically-demanding repertoire. At the moment he works on the "Philosophy of Music" book.
